Build Your Own Oracle: An Eye-in-the-Sky That Watches Any Website for You

In Gotham, Oracle sits behind a wall of screens and always knows first — the shipment, the pattern, the thing that changed. That ability has a 2026 name: change monitoring, and you can set it up in an hour without writing a scraper.

The tool is Browse AI. You show it a page once, like you're training an intern by pointing at a screen. It builds a robot that re-visits the page on a schedule, extracts the data you pointed at, and alerts you when something changes.

The build

1. Train the robot (10 minutes)

Sign up at Browse AI — the free plan is enough to learn on. Choose "extract data," open your target page inside their recorder, and click the elements you care about: the price, the title, the date. That's the training. No selectors, no code.

2. Put it on a schedule

Tell the robot how often to check — hourly for fast-moving pages, daily for most things. Each run lands in a spreadsheet-style table you can export or pipe elsewhere.

3. Turn on change detection

This is the Oracle moment: enable monitoring, and the robot diffs each run against the last one. Nothing changed → silence. Something changed → an email with exactly what's different.

4. Route the alerts somewhere useful

Email works day one. When you outgrow it, the integrations push rows into Google Sheets or fire webhooks — which means your monitor can trigger things: a Slack ping, a task in your tracker, even another AI agent.

Honest limitations

Sites with aggressive bot protection or logins can need the robot re-trained now and then, and heavy schedules burn through plan credits — start daily, not every-five-minutes. For most monitoring jobs, though, the point-and-click robot simply works, and maintaining it is nothing compared to babysitting your own scraper code.
